TagsMe™ GUI is an application development platform for portable devices (principally PDAs and mobile telephones), based in XML, with a simple and intuitive syntax. One of the main advantages is that it isn't necessary to develop a different application for each existing manufacturer's model, allowing applications to be developed rapidly, easily, and consistently for any device that uses Java MIDP 2.0, using a syntax similar to HTML, and without having to know how to program.
Each XML tag along with its resources (images, sounds, videos, et cetera) defines a screen, the conjunction of which define the application. The resources as well as XML can be housed in the device or the internet, being able to house in one or the other at the same time depending on the project requirements.

It's a highly specified mobile newsreader application which integrates text, images and, if required, audio. It's fully dynamic in use and configured from a simple to use web based CMS system.
Using standard RSS news feeds, NewsMate™ analyses the link and extracts from the feed website the complete news text and any associated images. This is then parsed server side into XML data ready for user requests. To ensure non duplication of RSS feeds, a version control function is performed server side. NewsMate™ can also be configured to use data using SOAP and Database sources.
A key feature of NewsMate™ is the ability to integrate internal company news channel into the application using its own menu structure. This is a powerful addition to the overall features of the application.
Concurrent with the XML generation, the NewsMate™ Audio Generation Engine (AGE) automatically converts the text to speech; very useful for a number of special purposes, for the visually impaired, financial market notifications, heightened user interface for sports results, etc. A feature within the application allows the user to control volume, maximum file conversion sizes, etc.
Content and menu configuration for NewsMate™ is performed through a simple to use CMS application - NewsMate™ CMS.
